Solid Central is Growing: What That Means for You

Solid Central is evolving. As more users and sites connect to Central, we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, making sure it can scale smoothly to meet growing demand.

Over the past week, we rolled out several improvements designed to enhance performance and stability—because nothing matters more than ensuring Solid Central is a reliable, powerful tool for your workflow. Some of these changes may have a small impact on reports, and we want to keep you in the loop.

What’s Changing?

Starting today:

• Data from before January 1, 2023, will no longer be available in new reports
• Security lockout event tracking is temporarily paused, so reports may undercount these events for now

Why the Change?

As we scale up, we’ve taken a hard look at how to deliver a speedy experience for everyone. Some older data and certain security event processing were delivering less value than their performance cost. By making these adjustments, we’re freeing up space and resources to handle more sites, more efficiently.

The bottom line? A faster, more stable Solid Central for everyone.

What This Means for You

If you generate reports with date ranges before January 1, 2023, or track security lockout events, you’ll notice some changes. But for most users, this update will have little to no impact—just a smoother experience moving forward. And keep in mind that you’re still able to clear Solid Security lockouts from Solid Central, and see detailed data about lockouts for any given site by navigating to Solid Security in your WordPress admin for that site.
