• YouTube has an endless supply of WordPress tutorials, however, you may find yourself wading through a lot of mediocre tutorials before you ever find one worth while. I advise against jumping straight into the YouTube search.
• You can also find WordPress courses and tutorials on Lynda.com. They offer a 10 day trial period. It is an excellent learning tool, but will cost some money after the trial period. It is definitely worth checking out.

Note: I have found sites like iThemes and WPBeginner to be exponentially more helpful than anything I have found straight from YouTube. I think this is because iThemes and WPBeginner present tutorials in a series. This allows you to follow a process that uses consistent teaching methods and pick right back up from where the previous video left off.

Dig Deeper into the Basics of WordPress with Webinars

If you have more time to devote to learning WordPress, I recommend watching webinars provided by iThemes Training. These dig deeper into the best practices to use with the information you are learning. iThemes webinars include topics ranging from WordPress development, WordPress design, freelancing and WordPress security (We wouldn’t want all your hard work to go to waste!) WordCamps are casual, affordable gatherings focused on learning and sharing information on all things WordPress. They are meant to be low-key conventions that provide quality lectures, presentations, workshops, Q&A, etc. WordCamps are held all over the world. You can view the schedule to find the one nearest you. If you want to attend a WordCamp but are unable to find one close to where you live, check out the presentations posted on the WordCamp channel on WordPress.tv.
