Introducing the Mixed Accounts Update for Solid Central

Solid Central users have long benefited from its powerful site management tools. With the new Mixed Accounts update, users can now connect both free (“Basic”) and premium (“Pro”) sites within a single Solid Central account—giving them more control over their site management experience.

What’s New?

• Flexibility for Paid Users: Solid Central Pro subscribers can now connect more sites than they have paid licenses for and choose which sites utilize their Pro features.
• More Freedom for Legacy Free Users: Users who began using Central under an early non-paid offer have never had access to paid features. These users can now connect additional Basic sites and selectively upgrade only the sites that need Pro features without the need to purchase a Pro plan for every connected site.
• Seamless Management: Instead of requiring a Pro license for every connected site, users can now categorize sites as Basic or Pro, making it easier to scale site management as needed.

Why This Matters

Previously, Solid Central users had an all-or-nothing approach to Pro features—either every connected site had access or none did. This placed limitations on paid subscribers while allowing legacy free users access to Central’s robust core site management tools at no cost. With the Mixed Accounts update:

• Pro subscribers get more value from their subscriptions, as they no longer need to purchase additional licenses for every connected site that may not need Pro features.
• Legacy Free users have an easier pathway to upgrading select sites without having to commit to a full Pro subscription for all connected sites.

Who Benefits from This Update?

• Current Solid Central subscribers: Including those on Solid Suite and legacy Sync Pro plans, who can now connect extra sites without extra licenses and select which ones use Pro features.
• Legacy Sync Standard users: These users will be upgraded to Central Pro for an equivalent number of sites at no extra cost, with the ability to connect additional Basic sites for free.
• Legacy Sync Free users: They can now connect more Basic sites and upgrade specific sites to Pro without needing to upgrade all connected sites.
