Solid Security Maintenance Release: Free 9.4.4 / Pro 8.6.5 Now Available

Security should be seamless. That’s the goal behind our latest Solid Security maintenance release, now available for both Free (9.4.4) and Pro (8.6.5) users.

This update includes a handful of under-the-hood improvements along with several changes of note that enhance usability, clarity, and compatibility for site admins.

Notable Changes in This Release.

1. Clearer 2FA Confirmation Flow
We’ve updated the 2FA setup confirmation email so it now links directly to a confirmation screen, not the setup prompt. This change removes a common point of confusion for users who already completed the process.

2. Passwordless Settings Block Now Uses API Version 3 (Pro Only)
In preparation for WordPress 7.0, we’ve upgraded the Passwordless Settings block to use the latest supported API. This helps it render correctly in an iFrame and maintains compatibility moving forward.

3. Vulnerable Software Card Error Resolved
We’ve fixed a bug that had previously caused an unexpected error when displaying unresolved plugin or theme vulnerabilities. You can now view scan results and vulnerability details without interruption.

4. Plugin Changelog Now Displays Properly
Clicking “View Details” in your plugin list will now correctly show the changelog for Solid Security updates. No more blank sections, just clear visibility into what’s changed.

How to Get the Update

If you have automatic updates enabled, the new version is already rolling out. You can also update manually from your WordPress dashboard or via Solid Central.
