Search Intent & Content Silos

Understanding Search Intent & Content Silos

Search intent simply refers to a human’s intentions when performing a search. When a user searches in Google for “hot dog” did he mean a dog that is hot from the sun or did he really want results that pertained to the food? Understanding what the user expected to receive for a given search phrase is search intent.

A content silo (or SEO silo) is a method of grouping related content together to establish the website’s keyword-based topical areas or themes.

It is important to understand both search intent and content silos when performing keyword site mapping for SEO.

In this webinar, we explore both topics and explain how they can help in your search engine optimization efforts.
