Opt-in Usage Sharing

As part of our journey to make the best products possible, our users can opt in to sharing usage information when installing SolidWP plugins. WordPress has created a Site Health dashboard with critical information about your site that is safe to share for support purposes. SolidWP products add information to this site health dashboard. When you have opted in, we sync site health information once a week. Please check out the terms and privacy policy for details on this information.

As part of our opt-in process, you are also subscribing your email address to receive security alerts and product update information, as well as emails containing helpful articles and guides, special offers, invitations to webinars and livestreams, and more. The name and email address of the WordPress user who opted in is used. You can change your mind and opt out at any time via the “unsubscribe” link in the email. Opting out of email will not affect usage sharing.

Site Overview / Site Health

Site health information” is generated as part of the WordPress core project. It is the official way for site owners to gather the information needed for a support and technical team to help troubleshoot and streamline your site. We leverage this content to get a good sense of the ecosystem from our users, including the WP version, PHP version, current plugins, and the active theme. This helps us decide when we can drop support for old technology and where to prioritize patches and support.

Product Usage Overview

Product usage is defined by our team and appended to site health in a plugin-specific tab/accordion. We gather the current version of our plugin, when you last updated it, settings configuration, and which features are in use. We’re trying to understand what features are well adopted and where we can improve. This will naturally evolve over time along with our product, and we will document that evolution here.

Note: while data listed below is currently being collected as of the time of this writing, additional data collection is planned.

The type of data we intend to collect in future versions of our products includes:

  • The state of selected settings and/or configurations
  • Events, such as when specific features are enabled/disabled and/or configurations are updated
  • Other similar signals that help us understand how the products are used

Data we do not and do not intend to collect, includes:

  • Personal information and personally identifiable information (aside from the name and email address, and only for the purposes of subscribing the user to emails as indicated above)
  • Other sensitive data (API keys, etc.) contained in the plugin configuration
