Solid Security and Patchstack FAQ

Whether you’re a former iThemes Security customer or a new Solid Security Basic/Pro user, you might have questions about our new Patchstack integration.

Please get in touch with us directly if you need specific help or if your question isn’t answered here.

If you are a former iThemes Security Pro customer who has not upgraded to include Patchstack but you are ready to do so, click here: https://my.solidwp.com/login.

Nothing changes at all! You automatically become a Solid Security Pro user. Your subscription remains the same. Your renewal period remains the same. Your account information is also unchanged.

However, you will not automatically receive the new Patchstack integration available in Solid Security Pro with Patchstack, but you can choose to upgrade at any time.

One of the reasons we rebranded from iThemes into SolidWP was to refocus on our products with unmatched security hardening features for WordPress websites. Patchstack integration for Solid Security Pro is our most important functional improvement from the end user’s perspective. User properly in combination with other Solid Security features, it reduces the risk of a successful attack nearly to zero.

Solid Security Pro with Patchstack delivers always-on firewall protection to WordPress websites. If you can’t respond to a new vulnerability quickly enough, Patchstack ensures your site (or network of sites) is shielded. If a patch for an insecure plugin or theme you’re using has not yet been released, Patchstack fills the gap until one exists.

Combined with the powerful user security and site hardening features of Solid Security Pro, this is a level of protection that does not exist in any other WordPress security plugins.

Solid Security works just fine without Patchstack. But if you want live vulnerability reports and the ability to have always-on virtual patching, you’ll want to purchase it. Good news, there’s a discount for you!

Existing iThemes Security Pro customers can add Patchstack to their current subscriptions at our exclusive partner rate.

Head to the Patchstack checkout and log in with your existing SolidWP user account. Your exclusive rate will be prorated based on your next upcoming Solid Security Pro renewal date.

Remember: If you are a new customer purchasing Solid Security Pro or Solid Suite, Patchstack is included and you do not need an additional purchase for Patchstack alone. But if you are an iThemes Security Pro customer and you want Patchstack, you will need to add it to your current subscription(s).

No. Nothing happens to your billing cycle if you are not upgrading to Solid Security Pro with Patchstack. We will not charge you twice. There is no extra charge for the upgrade and transition from iThemes Security Pro to Solid Security Pro.

But, if you add Patchstack to your Solid Security Pro subscription, you will be charged for adding one or more Patchstack site licenses. That subscription will be prorated based on your existing subscription’s start and end dates.

So, if you purchased iThemes Security Pro just before the SolidWP rebrand, your upgrade adding Patchstack will be prorated accordingly. Your existing subscription period and renewal date won’t change.

No. Only purchase as many Patchstack site licenses as you need. Then enable them on the sites where you want the extra protection of Patchstack’s virtual patching.

The Patchstack integration is a powerful feature that shields your website from vulnerabilities like no other security plugin. It offers protection before you have the chance to address a threat and patches vulnerabilities before a vendor or developer has a chance to issue a patch.

Yes, absolutely! You can upgrade and get Patchstack as an add-on at any time.
